Technical translation
Beyond being purely linguistic, my skills allow me to translate documents in fields as diverse as :
- The medical field
- Touristic documentation
- Economics
- Legal field
- Astronomy
- Technical field (Le domaine technique (e.g. automisation, energy, user manuals, etc.).
The complexity of these areas has made me the privileged spokesperson for large groups that require maximum accuracy in the translation of leading-edge technological documents. Today, many translation agencies use my services for translations in addition to requesting revisions and updates/corrections.
Sworn translation
Some documents such as marriage and death certificates, deeds of surrender and superficies and other official documents must be translated into the language of their country of origin. To be “authenticated” these documents are validated by the legal authorities of our country to be valid in Belgium.
Since 2006, I have acquired the status of sworn translator approved by the Court of First Instance of Liège. This leads me to translate official documents and have them reviewed by the Court. You can therefore rest assured that the document you entrust to me has the same legal value as in the country of origin. This legal expertise, which some translators and interpreters lack, leads me to work regularly for the Liège police and for some legal consultancy firms, as well as lawyers.
Standard translation
Whether you wish to translate a website, private documents, letters, or even a dissertation or a thesis, I am able to bring you all my linguistic and analytical skills so that your translation is, if not an exact copy, at least as faithful as possible to the original. Indeed, some phrases or expressions cannot be translated word for word: this would produce surprising results.
Journalistic translation and subtitling
The technical nature of post-synchronization requires significant adaptation. It is therefore necessary not only to faithfully translate scripts and dialogues, but also to translate the subtleties instilled by the author(s) (intentions, rhythms, stresses, etc.). My experience in this area leads me to collaborate regularly with these authors as well as translation agencies in Belgium but also in France.
Among other things, I entered into a close partnership with the RTBF (French-speaking Belgian television) through the translation of court-ordered records as part of the programme Faits Divers.
Training
In 15 years, I have built up a reputation and a level of professionalism that allow me use my skills in service of training. This means I have the good fortune to teach courses for FORMA LINGUA, which provides companies with language training that meets their needs and expectations and takes into account their constraints.
As a foreign language trainer, I give courses in French, English and Italian to adults as part of their training in business or at training centres, at home or even by telephone. I have the opportunity to train people with diverse responsibilities such as sales assistants, storekeepers, HR managers, store managers, buyers in the field of construction, etc.
